A. I'm not really crazy about lunch meat, aka cold cuts. They are full of preservatives and nitrates, both which are not good for you, side from that, they are highly processed which is against the intent of Paleo eating. I'm not a fan of beef jerky either, but I do know that some people do use them for protein.
Your best bet is hard boiled eggs, precooked shrimp, or even making some ground beef patties. Most food will keep good for 3 days in a cooler that is kept real cold. I suggest that you go and fill up your cooler with ice once your items are packed in it. And since heat rises, cover the top with a few of those Igloo weekender packs. This is a great method of keeping your food as cold as possible. I did this when I went to the CF qualifiers and my cooler items were still cold even after 3 days of the Florida's hot sun while sitting in the Jeep the whole time.
